The Lion’s Den
Deep in the jungle
In a vast wilderness
Been seven days now
And I think I’m lost
Deep in the jungle
I wonder, what I’ll find
Some buried treasure
That will blow my mind?
Or, will I come across
A vicious snake
That with just one bite
My life it takes
Will I happenstance
Upon a lair
Wherefrom the shadows
Comes a lion, or bear
I think I’ve fallen
Into a lion’s den
Ain’t got no time to pray
Or time to say amen
I think I’ve fallen
Into a lion’s den
Can you hear those lion’s
Roarin’
Into an unknown
I think I’ve strayed
I’m sure a consequence
Will soon be paid
Into the shadows
Farther, I go
Oh, I need a light
Or at least, a glow
What will I find?
Whose to know?
When one gets lost
Where wild things grow
Will I come across
An untamed beast
To cut me down to size
For its feast
I think I’ve fallen
Into a lion’s den
Ain’t got no time to pray
Or time to say amen
I think I’ve fallen
Into a lion’s den
Can you hear those lion’s
Rooarin’
Why didn’t you tell me, that we
Went the wrong way
You could’ve mentioned
All you had to do was say
Now we are lost
And we don’t know where we are
All we got for a light
Is one lonely star
I think I’ve fallen
Into a lion’s den
Ain’t got no time to pray
Or time to say amen
I think I’ve fallen
Into a lion’s den
Can you hear those lions
Rooarin’
Can you hear those lions
Rooarin’
Can you hear those lions
Rooarin’
